Yuva Besuge- in adoration to My India Eternal India

Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached", this Upanishadic sloka popularized by Swami Vivekananda should serve as an encouragement to every Indian, especially today's youth, to construct a new India through motivation, education, and dedication. To commemorate the 159th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, proudly celebrated as the National Youth Day, Youth for Good Governance Foundation in conjunction with the Rotaract Club of Koramangala, under the able guidance of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math Hyderabad organized “Yuva Besuge - in adoration to My India Eternal India,” Event 2022, on the eve of the 73rd Republic Day, i.e., 26 January.


“Yuva Besuge” proudly hosted Swami Bodhamayananda Ji, Director, VIHE, as the respected Presidential Addressee for the event. Swami Ji shed light on the topic, ‘Manifesting Swami Vivekananda into the Youth.’ He described India in the words of Swami Vivekananda as the motherland of philosophy, spirituality, and gentleness. He highlighted the need of leaving behind our social identities and working towards harvesting the divinity, the selfless service among all of us. “Whoever you are irrespective of your background, irrespective of your culture, character, work efficiency, your religion – keep it all aside that is the social side of life. Above it all you are the child of divinity”, he said.


The Hon'ble Chief Guest for the event, Sri Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. An inspiration to many, Mr. Prabhu is India's Sherpa to the G7 and G20 and former Minister of Civil Aviation, Railways, Commerce & Industry. Mr. Prabhu touched on the subject of “You are the chain that binds out our past to create the future” in his speech. He talked about life- as an invincible form that grows and destructs itself to pave way for new life. He ideas of self-realization and introspection while addressing the youth directly. As we head on the path of building Nava Bharat, he called upon the youth to hold onto the values of our forefathers as they embark on this new journey.


The event saw guest lectures from acclaimed speakers from different walks of life. Their presence and wise words helped magnify the shared cause of building ‘A Nava Bharat’ and rejuvenating the youth towards working for it.

"Yuva Besuge" was an appeal to the nation's youth, offering them the chance to be a part of the foundation of Nava Bharat, a new India. Swamiji used to say that education is pointless if it does not help alleviate public suffering or develop character while imparting a spirit of service. As the country celebrates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 75th anniversary of India's independence, it is critical that the youth aspire to be agents of change and torchbearers for growth and development.


Yuva Besuge, 2022 hosted an array of activities – Quiz, Elocution, Voice of the Youth, Essay Writing. With participation from diverse corners of the country, the zeal and enthusiasm of the youth of our nation gave us hope. A hope that rejuvenates the faith in the future of the nation. While competitions were concluded and judged effectively, on the day of the Event, recognitions were given to the deserving winners while the participants received E-certificates for their efforts.


The event also served as a platform for the relaunching of Youth Conclave- Youth Impact Crucible, 2022 by National Project Coordinator, Mr. Ankit Kumar Singh. The youth are critical to a country's development. Swami Vivekananda wished for the youth of India to perform for the country. Taking the ideals and teachings of Swami Ji forward, Youth Impact Crucible is for young change-makers who are pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees from various Indian institutions and are actively committed to affecting lives and achieving positive social change through their service. It is an opportunity for young student change-makers to demonstrate the impact of their contribution to society and to inspire thousands of young people to join in the nation's and people's service.

The event concluded on the note of a promise, to continue working towards recalling and revitalizing the values of selfless service and to work diligently for the benefit of society, and for the betterment of the country and its people.
